He thus wishes “Remove the ceiling of their maximum remuneration, which today cannot exceed one million euros. Some believe that the check that we offer them is not worth the risk they take by coming to see us ”, detailed the minister.

More than 100 million euros in adjustments already recovered through this

As part of the consideration of the 2020 draft budget in the Assembly, Socialist deputy Christine Pirès-Beaune presented amendments to this effect, which the government “Hope (see) adopted”, added Gerald Darmanin. However, he clarified that“A new, higher ceiling will be set by regulation”.

According to him, since 2017 that this remuneration system exists, 92 people have approached the tax administration. “Twenty-nine cases are under investigation, 13 have given rise to a tax audit and 4 cases have been closed. These gave rise to more than 100 million euros in adjustments. ”
