Taxes: questions from taxpayers on the income tax return

For some taxpayers, the process is not that simple. In 2019, the income statement must be done online and at the Lille tax center (North), the questions are numerous. However, for people who do not have internet access or are not able, the paper declaration is accepted so as not to accentuate the digital divide. Inspectors handle up to 100 calls per day with the same worry on the phone: how to properly fill out your form.

A white year causing confusion

With the withholding tax, 2018 was a blank year which led to some confusion among users. “The white year is precisely to erase this tax from the year 2018 so that there are no two withdrawals in the same year”, details Denis Putkownik, inspector of public finances. The deadlines for declaring income are from May 21 to June 4, depending on your department of residence.
