SNCF: operation to win back after more than a month of strike

SNCF is trying to win back its users. After more than a month of strike action, the rail group is offering 5 million tickets for less than € 35 on Thursday 23 January. Only TVG Inoui and Ouigo are concerned. Intercités are excluded from the system, for example. France 2 did the test in the afternoon, and some trains in high demand are sold out or at high prices.

Other preferred means of transport

A costly commercial offer for the company, but necessary, for Michel Quidort, president of the European Federation of Travelers. “People have switched to other means of transport, we have to win back travelers”, he explains. During the strike, many users turned to carpooling or the bus. The number of travelers using these transports has jumped 35% in one year.
