A fake website offers to reimburse the Navigo Pass. The president of the Île-de-France region Valérie Pécresse calls for vigilance.
Scams are rife on the internet. A site recently tried to surf on transport problems affecting France, in an attempt to defraud users. A fraudulent site offered to reimburse the Paris Navigo Pass for the month of December. A real promise made by the Region, but this time it was to actually be able to receive the money instead of the user.
Valérie Pécresse sounds the alarm
Asked about this new fraud that has just appeared, the president of the Île-de-France region, Valérie Pécresse, warns about this drift. “Today, there are already scammers”, she denounces. “They want to recover the Pass Navigo numbers and identities to be reimbursed instead of the Ile-de-France residents. (…) Don’t go to sites today, wait. ” The reimbursement platform should indeed see the light of day on January 31.
