Staff at a Sanofi site “Is exposed to a dangerous situation for his physical and mental health”. The Ile-de-France Direccte pinned the site for non-prevention of psychosocial risks and ordered it to define a “Action program”, especially for “limit the workload ” employees, according to the letter consulted Tuesday January 26 by AFP. The letter of formal notice, for “Breaches of the general health and safety obligation” was sent on January 18 to the management of the Sanofi-Aventis Groupe (SAG) site at Croix-de-Berny, in Antony in Hauts-de-Seine.

The Directive gives a deadline of “four months” to the management of the Antony site to assess the “Risk of mental suffering” and define a “Action program”, especially for “Limit the workload”.

Asked by AFP, the management of the Sanofi group said it had “strengthened” in July 2020 its “existing system” in terms of preventing these risks. To which the Direccte responds that of course, the management of SAG has “Initiated a psychosocial risk assessment process”, more “Without bringing it to completion”, “Without putting in place an action plan appropriate to the risk factors identified when the findings highlight one or more pathogenic situations”.

In June 2020, the unions sounded the alarm after the suicide of an employee at her workplace at another SAG site, in Gentilly in Val-de-Marne. They denounced “Endangering lives” of staff through practices “Intolerable” within this entity of the pharmaceutical group.
