The plan to support the digital and technological transformation of small businesses has exceeded expectations. A desire to invest that must be supported, insists the minister. “It’s the right timing”.
3,900 companies submitted a file to the “Industry of the future” desk, “ten times more” than what the government had planned for the year 2020, declared Monday, December 21 on franceinfo Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister for Industry. This subsidy mechanism, included in the “France Relance” plan, entered into force on 24 October. It supports the digital and technological transformations of industrial SMEs and midcaps.
Industry, “It’s 35 billion euros” on the 100 billion euros of the recovery plan, recalled Agnès Pannier-Runacher. The government “Set out again to reconquer industrial life after forty years of abandonment by successive governments”. “I just want to give a number: between 2000 and 2016, we destroyed a million net industrial jobs. (…) These jobs are not in big cities, they are in areas that are neglected ”, added the minister.
Relocation to the center of two devices
“One in two projects concerns relocations in one of our systems called ‘Industry Territories’”, says Agnès Pannier-Runacher. Companies are ready to recruit “5,000 jobs” in this device, according to the minister. “It’s the right timing to support them”, she insists.
At the national level too, a specific plan for relocations has been launched concerning five sectors, agro-food, health, electronics, 5G and what concerns complex elements in chemistry and metallurgy. “We have 800 projects.
