The review itself will be very serious, as always. This time, the MicroStar (MSI) PR200X notebook got into our news, which, given its prices from 18,000 K, was one of the best on the market. We tested it in bnm operation tm 6 msc and similarly to Acer TravelMate, we did not notice any other shortcomings. However, this MSI is significantly cheaper and we value more reliability.

Through long-term tests, we want to pass on the experience of using only selected notebooks. From any test, we do not intend to give a twist to the manufacturer, pop. model series, or differences in individual models can be huge. He gave it all a bad luck and received just a piece that has a hidden defect straight from the factory. Design and construction
At present, the model has been replaced by another configuration in line with the designation VR220. It is delivered in the same colors (Coral Pink), especially for males, and for the MSI stems it has prepared both blue (Denim Blue) and green variants (Wasabi Green). Unlike our laptop, the display cover of the new series does not bear the MSI logo and between the HDMI error interfaces.
The notebook had dimensions of 30.3 x 23.1 x 2.4 – 3.0 cm and an acceptable weight of 1.86 kg + 402 grams of power supply. Version with an octagonal battery (pictured) m weighs 2.06 kg. The construction is relatively solid and daily wear should have no problems for the duration of the shutdown, but the user must treat the laptop kindly. A weak point is the lid of the display, which bends under gentle pressure and its joints are not firmly attached. The dispute is the battery, which had an increased capacity in our laptop, and even when the fuse was locked, it was loose in its place and tapped into the laptop’s button when foaming.
She probably bought a laptop rzn connector, but the situation did not worsen during several months and the fortress remained the same. Both for the display and for the rest. We have a grip on the mechanism, which rubbed lightly against the plastics around the nail when closed. After a few months, the situation worsened a bit, or it began to slightly loosen the drive and closed sometimes did not seem on the first try. There was no other problem with him.
Among the interfaces we find three USB, VGA, HDMI, ExpressCard / 54, a stream of 3 in 1 multimedia cards (SD, MMC, MS) and two audio connectors. An analog modem, Gigabit Ethernet, and an 802.11 a / g / n wireless adapter are used for communication. Depending on the configuration, a laptop with a Bluetooth module can be submitted, it was not in the cheapest configuration.

The tested MSI is in short vkonn a tich. It is completely built on the Intel platform, the Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 processor was used for configuration. Although this processor is not exactly the most controversial and I have an excessive amount of work, I was pleasantly surprised by this laptop. The cooling of this MSI really took a very long time and the smart zen swelling of the fan also sweated.
You only really get up to the outside of what happened in the benchmark. During the approximately five-minute delays, when the test programs tried to load the data from the disk into opera memory and the CPU load fell to the lower limit, the injection grew to a minimum level and started again and while the processor was running. MSI laptops are sold without an operating system in the vast majority of cases. Due to the fact that we wanted to use the laptop for a long time, the choice fell on nenron Windows XP. After 23 weeks, the capacity of the battery, similar to the modified Acer, decreased by 9%. Most of the time, the laptop was connected to Wed, daily for about 6 hours. Twice a week he went to cities where battery power was required, and the remaining energy seldom dropped below 50%. The laptop was used only on the front, which lasts 1.5 hours, or to watch a movie.
The maximum value of the octagonal battery was at the start of the test 5 hours and 46 minutes. In this mode, the notebook is turned on and the brightness of the display is halved. In the editorial test, Wednesday, when we play music in Windows Media Player with visualization turned on and maximum screen brightness, the laptop lasted to work very sunshine. 3 hours and 49 minutes. It was a twist 3 hours and 28 minutes.

The cursor keys are unnaturally elongated and you need to get used to it. Bl color of the keyboard mon looks pkn, but very quickly come to a close. Do not lose anything else, not once in a while zabrigdniit with a piece of damp cloth.
The touchpad could be hot, the buttons have a known resistance when pressed. In this price category, the fingerprint is not completely white, speeding up the brush.

… Is above average due to laptop prices. It has a 12.1 ″ depth and a fine resolution of 1280 x 800. The backlight uniformity and maximum brightness are good. The contrast is due to the glossy surface of the surface, the reflections of the surrounding light sources are very striking and the work in the dark sun is known much more. Thumbnails are available for watching a movie in pairs, but the display area could be opened for easier work on the wedge.

- The big advantage of the laptop is the design and very seemingly made. New version with vraznjmi paints look according to our opinion go better, the code of the missing MSI logo on the cover.
- The speakers offer sound to the surfaces, the lids are very sharp, and the pull behind the ui. You will definitely not forget to pack your headphones on the road.
- We were very satisfied with the microphone and the 1.3 Mpix webcam. Both bites fulfill their function over time and it is not necessary to replace them with external bites. In addition, the Realtec sound control allows you to reduce sound and echo.
- Let’s praise the ergonomics, the spaced port on the sides is practical. I managed to place the audio connector on the front.

The notebook was well versed in all key parameters and we can definitely recommend it for purchase. The only external mnus can be seen in the keyboard, which could be hard, its white color is also impractical. Thanks to the price / performance ratio of a similarly equipped machine, you will find it only very rarely. There is nothing wrong with reliability, and we haven’t noticed a problem in the top of the drive.
