Real estate, a sector that was doing well before the Covid-19 epidemic, is now virtually at a standstill. Some agencies are still trying to continue their work.
Florian Lavallard manages two real estate agencies near Amiens (Somme). Seven collaborators work there. Since mid-March and the start of confinement linked to the Covid-19 epidemic, its activity has gone dormant. There are still a hundred properties for sale but the traffic on his website is less. There are no more visits.
Everything goes through the virtual
For now, he is finalizing the sales signed before confinement. “In the first quarter, we did a good job. We signed 25 compromises and we were also able to sign some during confinement. We thank the notaries who were able to set up signatures by proxy ”, explains the agency manager. The virtual has taken over. From a distance, a client wants the estimate of a house she wants to sell. Video conference calls are organized with the agency.
