After two months of hiatus, confinement has changed the situation in the real estate market. Accommodation with terraces, balconies and gardens is in greater demand.
Deprived of outside during confinement, a Parisian couple now dreams of a large garden for their two children. “Containment was the trigger to leave. Really, we have made up our minds, we want a house, we want to buy. Three months on a balcony is not that ”, says the couple.
12% more transactions
For several weeks, they have been making a series of visits in search of more square meters. About thirty kilometers from Paris, this house is listed at 525,000 euros. For the real estate agent, the couple must seize the opportunity: “In terms of real estate, with an equivalent budget, we go from a 50m2 apartment without a balcony to a 110-120m2 house with a superb exterior like here where we have 634m2 of land.” After two months of stoppage, the real estate market is on the rise again. The prices of older goods edged up and the number of transactions jumped 12%.
