The official campaign for income tax returns is launched this Wednesday, April 15. The government wants to encourage the French to make their declaration online.
In 2014, a third of French people had already used the online tax return. The procedure is very simple. All you need is a computer or a smartphone. Then you must have your tax number, your remote declarant number and your reference tax income, which appears on your 2014 tax notice. The advantage is that you can make corrections. even after having validated your declaration, and this until next November 27, as explained by Laura Zéphirin, of France 2.
Additional deadlines for tele-declarants
New for tele-filers this year, their tax notice will arrive in July rather than at the start of the school year. As a result, households that are not taxable will be able to benefit from advantages.
Finally, remote declarants benefit from additional delays: they will have to fill out the online forms between May 26 and June 9, depending on the department. Declarants who use the traditional paper form have until May 19 at midnight to complete their declaration.
