From October 1, there will no longer be regulated tariffs for large gas consumers. Explanations.
Many companies, but also schools, hospitals or even condominium trustees are facing this deadline of October 1, because it is the end of regulated gas prices for large consumers. They must therefore take out a new contract from among the available market offers, from their historical supplier or from their competitors.
Between 20,000 and 25,000 inhabitants concerned
Problem, 1,040 organizations have still not signed anything according to the Energy Regulation Commission, which is sounding the alarm. “Today it is estimated between 20 and 25,000 people who are in fact inhabitants […] which can be cut on October 1 because their trustees have not yet taken the necessary step to seek an offer from the market ”, says Philippe de Ladoucette, President of the Commission. And all professionals must remain vigilant by the end of the year. As of January 1, 2016, regulated electricity tariffs this time will disappear for more than 400,000 companies, with a risk of outage again for those who are late.
